The El Shaddai kinda Riches
Have you ever been in a situation where someone will ask you how much do you want and you answer anything will do? Maybe its just me but I always hope and pray that they give me more than I anticipate in my mind. Now if what i get is less than what they I wanted or hoped for I can't be mad because I said anything will do.
Now picture God asking what do you want (and trust me He does time and time again). What will be your response. I will ask for some luxurious rides, a good looking and wealthy soul mate, a fat bank account all the nice things of life (abeg who no like better thing). Now there is a glorious revelation in this...Philippians 4:19 says "And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory". I just realized that when I tell God what I want I only limit Him. Technically He knows I have a very fat and luxurious taste right? And being in depth in my reasoning, I still can't fathom His capabilities, His riches, His glory, His mercy, His love, His all in all(ness)...right? So when God says Laide what do you want and i say a million dollars haven't I just short changed my self? The new mentality is this "Lord bless me according to Your riches in glory". The innumerable, unfathomable, unquantifiable, unsearchable riches of God that is stored so far in glory that my mind can not picture it. "An out of this world blessing". The type that made Abraham a lender to nations. The type that fed 5000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. The type that made a jar of oil to fill up an unaccountable number of vessels. I need that kind of blessing.
Moral of the story the next time you are yearning for a powerful move of God over your life. Please don't go asking God from your shallow point of view. He knows all and sees all. He is the ALMIGHTY so He should make room according to His magnificent riches in glory.
